Host Families

Requirements

Teen artists are provided home hospitality at the homes of Jewish families in Northern Virginia. Many families will be asked to host two or three teen artists, providing them with a safe and comfortable place to stay during JCC Maccabi ArtsFest®.

Criteria are being developed for host families, please check back to the site for further information as it becomes available.

Daily Responsibilities

Host families play an important role in ensuring a successful experience for the teen artists visiting Fairfax for JCC Maccabi ArtsFest®. Host families are responsible for dropping off and picking up their guests in the morning and evening, following the evening activity—as well as Sunday evening for a welcome party. Transportation during the program hours of the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest® is provided by the JCC of Northern Virginia.

Teen artists will have dinner on Sunday and Monday evening with their host families. On Monday, families are encouraged to spend the evening together, perhaps taking in local sites.
